Stay in Malta — a slow week on a small island.
All ten Rue apartments are in Gżira, on the inner-harbour seafront between Sliema and Manoel Island. It is, in our view, the best place to base yourself in Malta — flat, walkable, on the water, and ten minutes from Valletta by ferry.
Valletta
Fifteen minutes by ferry from Sliema. A honey-coloured Baroque capital best wandered in the early morning or after the cruise crowds have left for dinner.
Mdina, Marsaxlokk, Comino
All under an hour away. Mdina for the silent walled city. Marsaxlokk for Sunday fish lunch. Comino for the Blue Lagoon, ideally on a private boat from Sliema.
